The Battle of Passchendaele or also know as the Third Battle of Eypes – Wilmslow Memorial

On 31st July a Commemoration event took place in remembrance of The Battle of Passchendaele or also know as the Third Battle of Eypes, the event was staged at Wilmslow Memorial Gardens on Mill Street. Staged by Cheshire East Reflects and supported and organised by the Wilmslow Branch of the British Legion. The programme below establishes those that attended in an official capacity. With over 250 members of public turning out in inclement weather the proceedings were dignified and respectful.

The gardens, lawns and flower beds looked splendid, with a tremendous effort undertaken by the ANSA team.

Short Service of Remembrance

Led by Rt Revd Libby Lane, Bishop of Stockport

 During the Service of Remembrance wreaths and flowers will be laid at the War Memorial.

All those in attendance are invited to lay a flower to remember those named on the memorial, irrespective of the conflict in which they lost their life.
